This has been a very important year for South Yorkshire Housing Association (SYHA), and we’re proud to share what we’ve been up to. We’re making important changes by listening to feedback and planning for the future, as well as holding on to our values, purpose, and what already works well.
In September 2023, we refocused our strategy to help everyone prioritise what’s most important for the organisation. We did this as a result of continuing economic pressures for the sector, and our regulatory regrade to V3/G3. The key themes in our new strategy were to make improvements to governance and financial viability, and to ensure we’re continuing to provide brilliant homes and services for our customers.
We’ve worked with the Regulator of Social Housing to develop an improvement action plan for SYHA, and we’re making good progress on completing actions and implementing changes.
This Annual Review will share more about how we’ve achieved the goals in our refocused strategy, and fulfilling our purpose to support people to settle at home, live well, and realise their potential.
In the Doing the basics brilliantly section you’ll find more about repairs and maintenance, our Tenant Satisfaction Measures, complaints, and more. In the Our people section you’ll discover stories from across the organisation and we’ll introduce you to some of our customers, employees and partners. We hope you enjoy finding out more about services we offer, how we’ve invested in your home and community, and meeting some of our fantastic people.
A huge thank you for all your support and feedback, and helping us to build a bright future for SYHA.
