We hope you’ve enjoyed reading this year’s Annual Review and insight into our work, progress and priorities.

It’s great to have the opportunity to reflect on my first year as the Chair of the Board. There’s lots of progress and improvements to celebrate, and I’d like to thank our customers, colleagues and partners for your support. This Annual Review shares just some of the great work that happens every day at South Yorkshire Housing Association.

Earlier in the summer, our Board away day provided a chance to meet some customers, visit neighbourhoods, and hear your feedback. I’ve also enjoyed meeting more customers, including at our day with the Chair of the National Housing Federation. Thanks to everyone that’s taken the time to say hello and share more about your experiences.

Although we’re facing internal and external challenges, we still aim to provide brilliant services for our customers both now and in the years to come. This means we’ve got important changes to make to ensure we have the right skills, processes and plans in place.

We’re currently developing a new strategy, which will set out some clear aims for the organisation for the next two years. It will support us to have a united focus and build strong foundations for our future. The strategy is being created with input from our customers, board and colleagues, and we’ll share it with you later this year.
