Hello and welcome to our Annual Review for 2022.
Well, our year certainly started brilliantly! Shortly after we shared our last Annual Review, we were delighted to win the Landlord of the Year award at the UK Housing Awards. This is a fantastic celebration of all our customers, volunteers, teams and partners, and you can watch our submission video – which features many of our people – below. A big thank you to Pam Hankinson, our board member and customer, and Helen Phoenix, our Head of Customer Collaboration, for accepting the award of our behalf.
The year has continued with some great work across all our strategic themes. This includes Mulima Muyunda joining us as our new Race and Diversity Lead, leading on implementing our Race Action Plan and capturing our experiences from the last 12 months. We’ve also made progress in improving some of our least energy efficient homes, which contributes to our aim of tackling the climate emergency.
2022 is very special as it also marks our 50th anniversary. We’ve taken this opportunity to capture some stories and memories from our customers, partners and colleagues – you’ll find some of them throughout the Annual Review. This review also shows that – 50 years on – our purpose is as important as ever, and continues to define and drive our work.
