We want to give all our customers a home that feels safe and secure, and that they feel proud to live in. Every year we invest in our homes by updating kitchens, and replacing bathrooms, boilers, windows and doors.
We update the kitchens in all of our homes every 20 to 25 years. Our customers get to choose their worktops, flooring, wall tiles, and kitchen unit doors, and we’ll make sure the kitchen is designed to meet your needs.
Our kitchen upgrades are carried out by our own Home Maintenance Team. If we’re upgrading your kitchen, we’ll get in touch about 28 days before the start of the works to arrange a suitable time for you.
All of the bathroom suites in our homes are replaced every 30 to 35 years. When we replace a bathroom, we give customers the choice of floor coverings and wall tiles.
All of our bathroom works are done by our Home Maintenance Team. If we’re upgrading your bathroom, we’ll get in touch about 28 days before the start of the works to arrange the best time to come round.
We replace all of the windows and doors on our homes every 25 to 30 years (depending on what type of material they’re from).
We know that sometimes windows may need completely replacing before this date if minor works cannot fix problems with windows or glazing. If so, a technical officer will visit your home and make recommendations to ensure your home’s windows are safe and effective. Please get in touch with us if you are experiencing multiple problems with the windows in your home, and we’ll arrange an appointment to inspect them.
Our customers get to choose the colour and style for their front and back door, and the choice of colour for their windows. All of these works are carried out by our partner contractor Burngreave Building Company. If we’re replacing your windows and doors, we’ll get in touch at least 28 days before to arrange a time and date that best suits you.
Every 15 to 20 years we replace the boilers in all of our homes to make sure our homes are warm and energy efficient. Our contractor Ashley & McDonough carries out all our boiler replacements.
